I rented space at clover storage in Livonia, MI for my Motorhome. A few days after renting I went to my Motorhome and found that it had been broken into. The entrance door was pried open along with the basement storage doors. Headlights were left on by the thief which drained the battery. I called clover and left several messages about the incident and proceeded to call Livonia police. Insurance was purchased when I rented the space so I thought the vandalism would be covered. Management at clover told me (after insurance was purchased and after the incident) that the Motorhome would not be covered under the insurance and that they would reimburse me for what I had paid for the insurance. I called storage shield FORTEGRA and the person that I spoke with told me that it was covered. After I sent in the police report and photos and several months of wait time I received an email stating the my Motorhome was not covered under the insurance. This means that they collect money for insurance coverage with no questions asked but will refuse to pay for damages. I am disappointed and very leary about using storage facilities now. Money will be collected but no one will take responsibility for your belongings even when insurance is purchased.

Me and my wife just rented a 10x15 unit. The staff could not have been more helpful. Rebecca and Ava got us into a clean unit and set us up with a U-Haul to transfer all of our stuff. We moved everything from a similar sized unit a mile and a half away into this new one. With indoor parking, we will enjoy getting into the unit throughout the year with no rain or snow to fight. The access is easy, the office actually has someone in it, and it costs $100 a month less than National Storage. A lot of work moving everything, but well worth it!
